Staircase
The staircase cuts through the entire building diagonally. Wide and tribune-like at its base, it gradually narrows as it ascends to the upper floors and comes to serve only its functional purpose: connecting different levels of the building. This big stair can be seen as the backbone of this office space; not only does it provide an easy way for people to move between levels, but it increases the likelihood of chance encounters.
People passing by on the ground floor can find themselves greeting those above them on the 5th floor; they may not cross paths otherwise and this ushers in a sense of possibility and of unity inside such a large space.
